ESL - Career Training with ESL

These programs offer ESL learners certified career training together with integrated ESL instruction. Students who successfully complete these programs receive the same certificate as those in the regular career programs. VCC’s graduates have excellent employment rates. These courses include:

• Baking and Pastry Arts ESL
• Culinary Arts ESL
• Home Support/Resident Care Attendant ESL
   

English for Career Preparation and Advancement

English for Career Preparation and Advancement consists of a 4-level program, English for Professional Advancement (EPA) and a variety of occupationally focused courses.

English for Professional Advancement (EPA)
EPA may be taken full-time or part-time. The focus is on language and socio-cultural competencies required for success as a professional in the Canadian workplace. EPA is a flexible, individualized program incorporating small group seminars in listening, speaking and writing, guided independent study in reading and vocabulary development and individual tutorials with an instructor. Students completing EPA level 4 receive credit for Technical and Professional English 12.
