ESL LEARNING CENTRES IN LIBRARIES
Learning Centres Schedule
VCC's Learning Centres operate out of 9 locations in Vancouver and Burnaby. Hours vary with each centre. Centres are all staffed with trained Instructional Assistants and are equipped with books, audio equipment, and other materials.
The Learning Centres provide opportunities for free guided independent study. They offer a self-paced learning program which includes one-on-one tutoring, small group discussions, and materials for independent study and English skills development under the direction of experienced Instructional Assistants with ESL training.
- Study time in the Learning Centres is available on a drop-in, first-come-first-served basis
- Students register at the Learning Centre of their choice
- Students are assessed and plan of study is made
- Students may study at Literacy, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels
- Students can study at any time the Centre is open
